Garage Door Track Repair
The tracks control the path of the door. Even a small bend or a loose bracket changes how the rollers travel and how hard the opener has to work.

Vertical tracks guide the door up the wall, horizontal tracks carry it back into the garage, and the radius section between them handles the transition. All three must be aligned, correctly spaced from the door, and firmly anchored.
Tracks are commonly damaged by vehicle contact, by a door that came off track, or simply by fasteners loosening over years of vibration. Once the spacing is wrong, rollers bind, hinges take side load, and the opener senses resistance it should never see.
Track service includes measuring alignment and spacing, straightening or replacing damaged sections, re-anchoring brackets to solid framing, and re-testing travel from fully closed to fully open.

- Should the tracks be greased?
- Tracks are cleaned, not greased. Lubricant belongs on rollers, hinges, bearings and springs; grease in the track collects grit and makes travel worse.
